With three seasons of the TLC series aired already and Season 4 rumored to come soon, fans are eager to know what’s happening with Tammy Slaton and her sister Amy Slaton. Plus, fans are curious about their half-brother, Chris Combs.
Lately, Amy’s updated followers about her son, Baby Gage Halterman. And Chris publicly said that they hadn’t gotten 1000-Lb Sisters Season 4 renewed contracts. So, what’s the weight loss progress of these siblings as they wait for word from TLC?
Amy Slaton began at 406 pounds and got down to 275 pounds at her lowest. But Tammy’s younger sister is pregnant, so weight loss isn’t her top priority now. As for Chris Combs, he was nearly 420 lbs at his heaviest.
But he got down to 348 by the end of Season 3. And he looks much slimmer now. As for the one every 1000-Lb Sisters viewer wants to know about… Tammy Slaton tipped the scales at 605 as they began, but in Season 2, she’d gained to 665 pounds.
She lost a little in Season 3 but then packed the LBs back on and was partying hard by the end of last year’s TLC season. However, Chris said she was doing well once she checked into rehab. But is that still true? How much does Tammy Slaton weigh now?
Is Bariatric Rehab Helping the 1000-Lb Sisters Star?
Chris loaded Tammy Slaton into the minivan at the end of the most recent 1000-Lb Sisters season. They drove from Dixon, Kentucky up to Gibsonburg, Ohio, to check her into bariatric rehab. But when they got there, she was in respiratory distress.
They had to rush her to a nearby hospital. There, they performed a tracheostomy because she wasn’t getting enough oxygen. It’s common for super morbidly obese people to suffer carbon dioxide poisoning (not carbon monoxide, as some sites misreported).
The weight pressing on the lungs means the person can’t draw deep breaths to get oxygen into their lungs. The body doesn’t produce carbon monoxide — you get poisoned from it from an external source. But we breathe out CO2.
Yet it can kill you. Since right after they wrapped filming on 1000-Lb Sisters Season 3, she’s been on a trach. Recently though, Soap Dirt was the first to report that Tammy showed marked signs of improvement.
How Much Does Tammy Slaton Weigh?
1000-Lb Sisters diva Tammy Slaton dropped 115 pounds during her first month of rehab. That’s info from Chris. Her last weigh-in on the TLC show was at 649.5. Down that much would see her at 534.5 LBs.

At the end of Season 3, Tammy’s face was so swollen, her eyes were hard to see. Her chin had a large band of fat around it. And her forehead was pressing down on her nose, making a crease.
In the photo on the right, her most recent — she’s using a makeup filter. But the rest is her. The fold above her nose is smaller. Her cheeks are much smaller. Her chin is defined now, where it was buried before on 1000-Lb Sisters.
And the sag below her chin indicates she lost a lot of the fat around her neck and now has loose skin there. And if you look at Tammy Slaton’s Tiki Tok videos over the past few months, you can see a gradual slimming.
Will Tammy Get Weight Loss Surgery in 1000-Lb Sisters Season 4?
If Tammy’s kept up her progress, then she could be close to 500 pounds — or even lower. That would be more than 100 pounds less than fans ever saw her during the series.
And that’s really important because of what Dr. Eric Smith said on 1000-Lb Sisters. He told Tammy Slaton that if she could tip the scales below 500, he would take her straight from bariatric rehab to see him for surgery.
That could be life-changing for her. And it would also be something that viewers would, no doubt tune in to watch. Many viewers were frustrated with Tammy’s prior lack of effort and Amy stopping her journey to explore pregnancy.
If not for Chris Combs’ progress, there would have been no siblings losing weight in Season 3. Tammy said Season 4 was coming but wouldn’t be out for a while. Then, she stopped posting videos which might be a clue that she’s filming for TLC.
