Although Caleb Willingham is no longer living, he still filmed several episodes of 1000-Lb Sisters. This season, fans will get to witness the early days of his short-lived marriage to Tammy Slaton.

In the first episode of the season, Tammy moved out of rehab and sadly left her new husband behind. Fans were happy for the reality star and her progress. But several wondered exactly how she managed to move her things out of the rehab facility.

It appears that Caleb lent a helping hand — in a rather unorthodox way.

By now, most 1000-Lb Sisters fans know that Tammy Slaton and Caleb Willingham’s marriage didn’t end in happily ever after. They had a short newlywed period in the rehab facility before Tammy was released and went back home. However, Caleb had to stay behind.

Without a doubt, this added a lot of friction to their marriage and resulted in their eventual split. Caleb later passed away.

However, TLC is choosing to air some of the happier moments onscreen. They even shared a behind-the-scenes clip of Caleb and Chris helping Tammy move their things.

“In this behind-the-scenes look at #1000lbSisters, check out Tammy’s ‘Redneck U-Haul.’ ” the TLC Instagram account captioned the clip. In the video, Caleb is driving his wheelchair backward, which is loaded with Tammy’s belongings. Her older brother Chris is directing Caleb so he can successfully drive backward up into the van.

The clip then cuts to Tammy and Amy making fun of the men for choosing to load up the van that way. It was definitely an interesting choice on their part.

The comments didn’t say much about the clip. Instead, fans really focused on Caleb Willingham’s passing. Many viewers find it tragic that TLC is airing his final months for the world to see and will ultimately air his death and funeral too.

“My heart breaks that he’s not here anymore!:(” one fan wrote in the comments.

One fan left a GIF indicating that they thought it was “messed up” that they were treating Caleb like a machine instead of a person.

Fans eagerly await new episodes

1000-Lb Sisters is back on TLC. Based on the first episode of the season alone, it appears that some major bombshells are in store for the family. Caleb Willingham’s death and funeral are expected to be focal points, but fans will have to wait and see what happens next.
