Sadly, this downward spiral is ultimately what resulted in Tammy Slaton starting the process of divorcing Caleb when she realized he had no desire to lose weight and really live a life with her.
Speaking to The Sun, an inside source close to Tammy and Caleb claims that the 1000-Lb. Sisters star truly loved her husband and wanted him to fight to be with her.

As those who followed Tammy Slaton and Caleb Willingham’s love story know, the duo met at a weight loss rehab in Ohio. It, however, was later reported that Caleb checked into the rehab facility after learning Tammy was there. Caleb Willingham claimed he checked in because she inspired him. But, this information turned some fans off to him as they thought it screamed serious stalker vibes.
Following the timeline, Tammy Slaton and Caleb Willingham got married in November of last year. In February of this year, Tammy was released from the Ohio facility. Unfortunately, her husband Caleb was left behind.

Over the past few months, Caleb Willingham fell off the wagon. He reportedly gained weight and wasn’t doing anything to improve his situation or better his health.
Speaking to The Sun, a source close to Tammy and her late husband confirms the relationship was very much real. Tammy Slaton reportedly wanted Caleb Willingham to get it together and lose weight so they could have a life outside of the rehab facility.
The source reportedly said: “Tammy was trying so hard to get him to turn around because she’s like, ‘Look, I did it,’ and he didn’t have the motivation or the willpower.“

Sadly, things got tense between the couple after Tammy left the facility. Arguments reportedly began as Tammy Slaton wasn’t happy with him for not trying hard to lose the weight and come be with her in Kentucky.
The source went on to tell The Sun that Tammy made the difficult decision to divorce Caleb Willingham because she found herself in a place with a husband who didn’t care and had no interest in getting better.
As Newsworsldtoday previously reported, Tammy Slaton took to TikTok in an emotional video where she opened up about Caleb’s cause of death. She, however, explained that she would not be telling people what happened because it was too personal to share.
