1000-Lb. Sisters cast members, Amy Halterman and Tammy Slaton have put their weight loss journey on the show for all to see. Recently, the amount of money that they make came to light. It appears that many cast members including Chris Combs and Amanda, do not make as much money as others. In fact, these cast members could be ready to leave TLC. Why would they want to leave? Let’s find out.
Rollin’ In The Dough?
Many reality shows pay their cast members very well. This must be what the Slaton sisters thought would happen when they signed on to be part of TLC. However, it appears that the sisters do not make as much money as they thought they would. The network has made them pay for almost everything when it comes to their weight loss journey. Tammy had to pay for her time at the weight loss rehab clinic and for her gastric bypass surgery. The sisters have paid for all of their medical bills with their weight loss as well.
1000-Lb Sisters-TLC
Just recently, The Sun reported that Tammy only gets paid about $2,000 to $3,000 per episode. That means she is making $20,000 to $30,000 for a ten-episode series. Is this enough to pay all of her bills and get her back on her feet? Many fans don’t believe that it is. If Tammy only gets paid this little, then what about the other cast members? Are they making decent money off of the show? As more evidence comes out about the pay for the show, sadly, it looks like other cast members get paid less.
1000-Lb. Sisters Cast Low Salary
From the looks of it, Tammy’s husband, Caleb Willingham has actually signed on for the season as well. Does this mean the budget for 1000-Lb. Sisters will get lower or will he make the same as Tammy? Interestingly enough, it turns out that Amanda, their half-sister, makes just about $700 a month for her appearances on the show. Amy may make more than any cast member because of her sons, but she is still ready to ask for more money.
Chris Combs- TLC
With the amount of money that the cast is making, it does seem as if they are all ready to fight TLC for more money. They have paid for so many expenses that fans think the network should pay for and now it looks as if they are low on funds. Will they win this fight or will they have to leave the network and pursue other avenues?
