1000-lb Sisters star Tammy Slaton is reportedly considering pursuing modelling opportunities for the future, with it speculated that she may no longer film for the TLC show.

Tammy, 37, has starred on the reality TV show alongside her younger sister Amy Slaton, 35, since 2020. It follows the siblings on their weight loss journeys and returned for its fourth season on the network earlier this year.

There is speculation however that the latest season – which is rumoured to return for more episodes later this year – could be the last. It’s been claimed that Tammy is considering other opportunities like modelling jobs.

The Sun has suggested that the fourth season may be the show’s last, with a source telling the outlet that Tammy is considering a career change. The source claimed that she is searching for new jobs within the modelling industry.

Discussing the cast member allegedly wanting to pursue modelling and grow her platform moving forward, the source said: “Well, I can’t say if there is or is not going to be another season, but Tammy is looking at other opportunities.”

The source further told the outlet that Tammy wants to prioritise a new career as a plus-size model. They added about the possibility: “[She] wants to represent people in her community who have been through what she has been through.”

The Sun reports that a source previously said that Tammy had been thinking about ending the contract with TLC for a while. It added that the family were reportedly in talks with another production company for a spin-off show.

And the outlet further alleges that, according to a source, there’s been tension between the family and producers. It’s been reported in recent months that they have been at odds over salaries and over the narrative of the show.
