Chris had weight loss surgery during 1000-lb Sisters season 3, and his journey was pretty easier compared to his sisters. As a man, weight works differently on Chris’s body, so after having weight loss surgery, it seemed easier for Chris to drop a significant amount of weight.

Chris weighed roughly 450 pounds before his weight loss surgery and quickly dropped roughly 150 pounds afterward before he started working on his health goals. Chris has continued to slim down post-surgery, losing another 100 pounds and looking incredible. However, his ability to lose weight isn’t the only thing that was different about his weight loss journey.

1000-Lb Sisters’ Chris Combs Says He’s Bringing Sexy Back

During the 1000-lb Sisters season 4 premiere, Chris opened up about his weight loss journey. While weight loss is typically more about health in a case like Chris, Tammy, or Amy, Chris was able to joke about it being for more aesthetic reasons during the premiere episode.

He jokingly shared that he was “bringing sexy back,” and his family laughed at his joke, with his other sister Amanda Halterman mocking him later in the episode. Though Chris was clearly kidding, he does look a lot fitter post-weight loss and has definitely seemed to bring some spice back to his relationship with his wife, Brittany.

1000-Lb Sisters’ Chris Combs Is All About Gratitude

Chris’s attitude about weight loss seems incredibly different than his sisters, especially when it comes to the way he feels about his own weight loss journey. While Tammy has seemed ungrateful at times, almost coming off like weight loss is owed to her for all that she’s been through, Chris has always come across incredibly grateful for the help he’s received along the way.

He credits his family and his doctors for his weight loss, acknowledging that he wouldn’t be able to take accountability for himself without their help. Chris knows that when it comes to his health, he isn’t an army of one.

1000-Lb Sisters’ Chris Slimmed Down While Working At Fast Food Restaurant

One of the major hurdles Chris has faced while losing weight is that he works at a fast-food restaurant, which offers quite a bit of temptation every day. As a kitchen employee at a local McDonald’s, Chris dealt with food that is meant to tempt customers and employees alike.

Though he was able to resist the alluring smell of french fries and other unhealthy options throughout his weight loss journey, it’s clear that Chris knows when to indulge and when to stay firm on his diet. With his family showing off their weight loss on 1000-lb Sisters, Chris clearly kept his goals in mind to stay strong.
