7 Little Johnstons fans accuse Emma Johnston of scamming?
In a new Reddit thread, fans are talking about Emma’s jewelry business. Someone noticed that Emma not only sells handmade jewelry but she also sells pre-made items from other companies.
The fan explained:
“The prices are ridiculously high for what they are (the pura vida ring that’s currently posted is 3Xs the cost of buying from the pura vida website. The topaz ring is a cheap $8 ring from another website, marked up to $45 on Emma’s. Several of the rings come from (or at least are also sold) the Elevated Faith website.”
Reddit users are now wondering if Emma’s business would be successful if it wasn’t for 7 Little Johnstons. Some think she’s taking advantage of her family’s loyal viewers by expecting them to purchase jewelry that’s marked up.
However, others think she’s not doing things any differently from other small businesses. Someone said, “I mean that’s what stores do is buy wholesale and resale higher, weird to do it from another company though.”
It’s unclear what Emma’s intentions are and whether she got advice from a marketing company. She seems to be doing pretty well for herself. Ultimately, fans don’t know how things would be going if it wasn’t for the TLC show.
So, do you think that Emma Johnston is scamming fans and taking advantage of them? Or do you think she’s simply running her business like others do? Sound off in the comments section below, and come back to Newsworsldtoday for more news about the 7 Little Johnstons stars.
