TLC followers will finally be able to watch Tammy Slaton reach her goal weight, after years of struggling, on the newest episode of 1000-lb Sisters.
Viewers of 1000-lb Sisters will get a treat on the new episode, as they will finally get to see Tammy Slaton meet her goal weight after years of trying. The Kentucky native has been dealt some major blows in her health journey over the years that were not always great. For three seasons, Tammy tried to shed the pounds, but she never quite succeeded.
In the upcoming episode, 1000-lb Sisters’ Tammy Slaton finally reaches her healthy goal weight. Thanks to People, fans got a sneak peek at how thrilled the TLC star was to finally shed the extra weight. In an emotional soliloquy, Tammy shared that she had finally got her “told-you-so-moment.” The excitement came after she weighed in at her all-time low of 534 lbs. Tammy started her journey at 717 lbs. In total, Tammy has lost 180 lbs.
1000-Lb Sisters’ Tammy Slaton Tears Up
In the emotional clip, Tammy shared the good news with her sisters, Amanda and Misty. 1000-lb Sisters followers learned that Tammy needs to hit 550 lbs to finally go under the knife for weight loss surgery. Tammy revealed she has hated getting on the scale since her “worst” fear is gaining weight, noting she didn’t want to “disappoint” her family, who have supported her since day one. Fans will see Tammy come in 14 lbs under her goal weight and could tell that the newlywed was proud of herself for her achievement. At the end of the scene, Tammy couldn’t help but turn to the cameras and say that she “proved everybody wrong.”
Tammy Slaton Hasn’t Had The Easiest Journey
The last three seasons of 1000-lb Sisters, have featured an emotional journey with Tammy, as she has tried to qualify for gastric bypass surgery. The TLC star’s love of junk food has hindered her ability to qualify for her weight loss surgery successfully. Tammy’s bad attitude has been a common thread on the show, as she would often explode on her sister and other family members. Tammy’s weight issues would cause her to throw her anger at those closest to her, constantly pushing them away.
1000-Lb Sisters season 4 has only just gotten underway, and fans still have a lot more to catch up on. In November 2022, Tammy revealed to followers that she had married Caleb Willingham, who is also a patient at the Ohio rehab center. The two exchanged their vows with their close family and nurses around then, with Amy Slaton Halterman serving as the maid of honor. TLC cameras were able to capture the wedding and Tammy’s surgery for the newest season. As fans finally prepare for Tammy to get her moment in the spotlight, it was hard not to be proud of Tammy for finally taking the first steps toward her new life.
