Even though it was clear that Amy spent a lot of time helping her sister, she couldn’t hold herself back from having her own life forever.
As 1000-lb Sisters fans will already know, Amy Slaton’s life has changed a lot over the last few years. Now a happily married woman and a mother, Amy also plans to lose a lot of weight even though she has already changed her body dramatically. With all of those life changes in mind, it makes sense that Amy had to find a home all her own which is why she moved out of her side of the Slaton sisters’ duplex.
Unfortunately, when it comes to the question of where Tammy Slaton is now physically, she too has exited the duplex but for troubling reasons. When TLC began producing 1000-lb Sisters, the network paid for the Slaton sisters to get help with their health issues. Sadly, however, it didn’t take long for it to seem like Tammy wasn’t taking full advantage of the help she received. After that, fans became even more worried about her in recent months as Tammy appeared in photos with a trach tube.
As it turned out, 1000-lb Sisters fans were right to be worried about Tammy Slaton. The reason for that is it turned out that Tammy was forced to check into a rehab center after her lungs collapsed and she was put into a coma. If that wasn’t bad enough already, Amy Slaton has said that Tammy has lost her house because TLC isn’t paying for her rehab stay and the expense has left her unable to afford rent.
Of course, it is somewhat understandable that TLC ceased paying for Tammy Slaton’s weight loss journey since she didn’t take advantage of the help she was offered in the past. However, if the network continues to produce episodes of 1000-lb Sisters and Tammy remains in the rehab center for a long time, it seems like they should take over the expenses. After all, if TLC is profiting from a show about Tammy’s weight loss journey, it would be wrong for her to go broke because of it.
Tammy Slaton Has Been Losing Weight And Courting Controversy
From the moment that TLC cameras began capturing her life, it has been clear that Tammy Slaton’s health was seriously damaged by her excessive weight. Despite that fact, Tammy was still able to lead her life as she knew it at that time. However, when Tammy wound up in a coma with collapsed lungs and was forced to live in a rehab facility, things began to turn around for her.
Whether her health scare was the wake-up call she needed or if living in a rehab center has forced her to make lifestyle changes, the fact is that Tammy’s body has begun to change. In fact, according to what Tammy’s brother Chirs revealed during the third season finale of 1000-lb Sisters, Tammy had already dropped 115 pounds at that point. Based on how she looks in her most recent Instagram posts, it seems like Tammy has continued to lose weight in rehab. In fact, some fans are hopeful that Tammy has shed enough pounds to finally undergo weight loss surgery.
Even though things seem promising for Tammy Slaton’s health, she has managed to anger a lot of fans recently. The reason for that is that after she promoted a video appearance to promote a sticker brand, Tammy pretty much pulled a livestream no-show which meant she wasted her most devoted fans’ time. Considering that Tammy’s own Tik Tok channel was banned in the past due to her selling unlicensed merchandise to viewers, she has given her fans lots of reasons to be mad.
